BASIC SCHEDULE INFORMATION

DURATION OF THE COURSE
Courses are 5 days long, starting with a Welcoming session and finishing on the fifth day with the evaluation of the course and granting of the certificates.

LOCATION OF THE COURSE
Skopje, North Macedonia

COURSE TIMETABLE
Daily, the course runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, comprising three learning blocks separated by two 15-minute coffee breaks. However, the schedule can vary due to study visits, cultural and networking activities.

WELCOME SESSION
The course begins with a Welcome session on the first morning. This session is designed to help participants comfortably transition into the training environment and engage in icebreaker activities to get to know each other. We’ll discuss the participants’ goals, expectations, and contributions for the training, address any queries, and ensure everything is set for a smooth week, starting with a welcoming coffee break.

COURSE EVALUATION
The final session of the course is dedicated to evaluation, where we wrap up the week’s experiences. This involves completing an anonymous questionnaire to share feedback on the course’s highlights, areas for improvement, and suggestions for change. This evaluation provides valuable insights for SIM to enhance our course offerings.

STUDY VISITS
Usually, at least one study visit is included in the course fee. Commonly, this involves visiting a school, but we may also explore other relevant organizations, institutions, or museums related to the course content.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Given that regulations may vary by country, we recommend consulting your National Agency to determine the necessary documents for either applying for Erasmus+ funding or during the execution of your approved Erasmus+ mobility project.

After finalizing and distributing the latest version of the program to participants, SIM will provide Mobility Documents and Europass templates, pre-filled with information such as data, training activities, tasks, objectives, and the evaluation process. Participants and their Sending Institutions are then required to complete these documents with their specific information, after which they can be signed and stamped. Typically, an electronic version suffices, but if a hard copy is required, participants should bring the documents to the course for original signatures and stamps.

Participants who complete at least 80% of the course will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance on the final day.

OUR METHODOLOGY

LANGUAGE OF THE COURSE
By default, all of our Erasmus+ training courses are in English.
However, we offer some of the courses in other languages as well. Contact us for more details.

METHODS USED
Our emphasis is on delivering high-quality content. We consider it an honor to facilitate the professional development of teachers from various countries. It’s crucial for us that you leave with new, practical, and effective methods ready for immediate implementation in your classroom.
The courses promote inquiry-based and flipped learning, along with collaborative activities among participants. These include reflective exercises, peer exchanges, discussions, interactive games, group and pair work, presentations, case studies, study visits, various thinking techniques, and individual tasks.

CO-DEVELOPMENT OF PROGRAMME
We recognize that you may have specific challenges and aspirations in your professional context, including areas for change, improvement, and particular visions for course content. We value your input and tailor the course material to align with participants’ interests, professional backgrounds, and expectations. Once the course is confirmed, we send a questionnaire to gather your insights, which then guide the finalization of the program.
The course also emphasizes interactive, experiential learning and a workshop-style approach, fostering a two-way communication channel and nurturing a mentor-mentee relationship between trainers and participants.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS PER COURSE
The minimum number of the participants needed to confirm the course is 5, while the maximum number varies between 10 to 15, depending on the course.
There is no limit from our side as to how many participants can attend one course from the same organisation, however, for the general atmosphere of the group, better networking and stepping out of the comfort zone, we strongly suggest the participants to come alone or in small groups.

OUR SERVICES

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Recognizing the value of informal settings for easier connection, we provide optional activities designed to facilitate better acquaintance among participants while immersing them in the local culture. Our aim is to strike a harmonious balance between these activities and ample free time for personal exploration and enjoyment.
Please note that minor adjustments to these activities may occur, depending on the program schedule or weather conditions. Participants will be updated with any such changes in the final version of the program.

ACCOMODATION OPTIONS
We provide an option for participants to reserve accommodation at a reduced rate, including breakfast, at our partner hotels. After confirming the course, participants will receive a link to access these discounted rates. However, this reservation is entirely optional, and participants are free to select any other accommodation that best fits their needs.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
After finalizing the course program, we provide participants with templates for essential documents, including Mobility Documents and Europass.
These templates will already include details about the course’s objectives, outcomes, tasks, and monitoring processes. Participants are required to add their personal and organizational information. Subsequently, we will sign and stamp these documents for validation. Participants needing physical copies can bring these documents to the course for SIM to stamp them in person.

INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY

Our courses ensure accessibility for participants with special educational needs. The course activities also provide teachers with the opportunity to gain competences in meeting the needs of students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

EUROPEAN VALUES AND POLICIES

Our courses align with European Union values and support the policies of the Erasmus+ programme.
